Course Description: This chiropractic CEU online course will cover topics in Clinical and radiographic features of ankylosing spondylitis, enteropathic spondyloarthropathy, psoriatic spondyloarthropathy and reactive arthritis (Reiter’s syndrome).

Course outline:

  • Clinical and radiographic features of ankylosing spondylitis (AS)
  • Clinical and radiographic features of enteropathic spondyloarthropathy
  • Clinical and radiographic features of psoriatic arthritis (PsA)
  • Clinical and radiographic features of reactive arthritis (Reiter’s)

Learning objectives:

  • Identify the epidemiological characteristics of the discussed arthropathies and recognize their presenting clinical symptomatology and abnormal lab findings.
  • Describe the fundamental pathological changes to the skeleton and adjacent soft tissues associated with the discussed arthropathies using accepted descriptive terminology and named radiographic signs when applicable.
  • Analyze imaging studies and, in association with pertinent clinical information, develop a reasonable differential diagnosis with regards to the pathologies discussed.
  • Facilitate appropriate patient management, recognizing the most widely used treatment options, potential co-morbidities/complications, and prognosis of the discussed disease processes.
