Course Description: Athletes of all ages, sports, levels and abilities can suffer cervical spine injuries. This comprehensive course covers the anatomy of the cervical spine and the mechanism of common neck injuries, with emphasis on conditions involving the muscles, tendons and ligaments that affect athletes. This class teaches consultation, examination and imaging specifics to better diagnose and treat athletes. This presentation contains educational materials to better perform in-office treatment and to better educate the patient on self-treatment and recovery strategies.

Course Outline:

  • Description of anatomy and physiology of the cervical spine
  • Description of conditions and mechanism of injury involving the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the cervical spine
  • Consultation, examination, diagnostic procedures, in-office chiropractic treatment & rehabilitation strategies

Donald A. Ozello, DC graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995. He is the owner and treating doctor at Championship Chiropractic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
