District of Columbia Chiropractic Continuing Education Requirements:

District of Columbia chiropractors are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years during their active license period on even years. Our online chiropractic continuing education courses are accepted by the District of Columbia Board of Chiropractic.

Special Requirements:

In addition to the general CE requirements, District of Columbia chiropractors have special requirements that include:

  • Three hours (3) in communicable disease (See our course Aids & Infectious Diseases 201)
  • Two hours (2) in Cultural Competence and appropriate clinical treatment for LGBTQ+ individuals
  • Five hours (5) in any combination of ethics, risk management, documentation and record keeping, and cultural competency.

New Licensee Information:

If you are applying for license renewal for the first time, you are exempt from the continuing education requirements until your next registration period.

Reporting Requirements:

Licensees must submit Chiropractic Certifications of Completion to meet the District of Columbia CE requirements.
