Sleep is the recovery system every other longevity strategy depends on — and this 2-hour live webinar with Dr. Michael Hall treats it the way a chiropractic neurologist does: as physiology you can measure, explain, and improve. The session starts with what a night of sleep is supposed to look like — the sleep cycle, its brain waves and timing, and the chronotype your patient was born with — then follows the night into the places longevity is quietly lost: nocturnal oxygen desaturation, sleep apnea, and the cardiometabolic and neuroinflammatory load they leave behind by morning.

From there the two hours connect the night to the day and the spine to the breath: how daytime health sets up nighttime recovery, how thoracoabdominal synchrony, cervical hypolordosis, and chest expansion shape breathing during sleep and where chiropractic care fits, and how the cortisol rhythm, blood sugar, and the brain's default mode network decide whether a patient wakes cognitively resilient or already depleted. The close is practical — light and auditory frequencies, blue screens and pre-sleep routines, sleep hygiene, HRV, and the health apps worth recommending — packaged as evidence-informed strategies for chiropractic wellness and longevity care. Attend live on Thursday, December 10, 7–9 PM Central; complete the brief post-webinar assessment; your certificate is in your account the same night.

Choose Your Live CE Path — Three Lanes, One Calendar

Every CCEDseminars webinar is live, PACE-approved, and taught in real time by practicing DC faculty with Q&A. Build by what your board requires, what your patients need, or the certification you are working toward. The full quarter lives on the live webinar calendar.

1 · TBCE Required

The Board-mandated live hours for Texas licensees — ethics, rules, documenting, and risk management — taught by Dr. Hall every month.
Ethics: TBCE Required & PACE Approved
Documentation & Risk: Audit-Ready Workflows

2 · Clinical & Longevity

Spinal manipulation and longevity, chiropractic nutrition and healthy aging, autonomic resilience, muscle as medicine, physical examination, regenerative medicine — the clinical sessions from Drs. Hall, Benedikt, Hill, Ozello, and O'Hara that count toward the live-format hours many states require. You are here: Sleep and Longevity, December 10.

3 · Certification Track

Live sessions that also build toward CCEDseminars certification programs, including the Certified Longevity Health Specialist (CLHS) curriculum.
New live sessions are added to the calendar each quarter.

What You'll Learn — Course Agenda

  • Defining the sleep cycle: stages, brain waves, and timing — what a night of sleep is supposed to look like.
  • Night owl, morning lark, or third bird: chronotypes, circadian rhythm, and neural regulation and dysregulation — knowing yourself and your patient.
  • Nocturnal desaturation: the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve, pulse oximetry, sleep apnea, and neuroinflammation.
  • Cardiometabolic risk and inflammation: how daytime health impacts nighttime health and recovery.
  • The chiropractic connection: thoracoabdominal synchrony, cervical hypolordosis, chest expansion, and breathing mechanics during sleep.
  • Sleep quality and the cortisol rhythm: cortisol, blood sugar, the default mode network, and functional connectivity.
  • Setting the tone for sleep: light and auditory frequencies, blue screens, digital interfaces, lighting, and pre-sleep activities.
  • Evidence-informed strategies: sleep hygiene, HRV, and health apps within chiropractic wellness and longevity care.

Your Live Webinar Faculty

Michael Hall, DC, FIACN — instructor of this webinar — is a board-certified chiropractic neurologist and Fellow of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology who leads the CCEDseminars Texas TBCE ethics and compliance track, the Documentation & Risk series, and the spinal manipulation and longevity sessions. Dr. Hall combines clinical depth with practical neurological insight, teaching sleep, breathing, and autonomic physiology in plain language that translates directly to Monday morning's patients.

Arland Hill, DC, MPH, DACBN — chiropractic physician with a Master of Public Health and Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition — leads the muscle-as-medicine and clinical longevity track.

Dennis O'Hara, DC, DACBSP — Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians — leads the sports chiropractic and functional movement sessions.

Howard Benedikt, DC, DCBCN — Diplomate of the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition — leads the clinical nutrition and functional medicine sessions, and Donald Ozello, DC, CCN, CCSM brings the physical examination and athletic injury sessions to the live calendar. Where Live Hours Count — State Rules Worth Knowing

Texas: under Texas Administrative Code §73.1, licensees complete 16 hours of CE each year — the Board-required topics in a live format, plus additional live or webinar hours, with the balance available online. This clinical webinar counts toward the live-format hours beyond the Board-required block; for the Board-required block itself, see Ethics: TBCE Required & PACE Approved and Documentation & Risk: Audit-Ready Workflows. CCEDseminars reports completions to the TBCE directly. Full detail on the Texas chiropractic CE guidelines page.

Other states: many boards require that a portion of each renewal cycle's hours be earned in a live format, and most accept PACE-approved live webinars toward that portion; nutrition and clinical-topic allowances vary. Check your state's guide in the full state directory before building your renewal plan.

Build Your Live Block

Live hours are the scarce ones in most renewal cycles — boards cap what you can do online, not what you can do live. This session fills two of them with sleep and recovery content you can put into a wellness plan the next morning, and it sits naturally beside the quarter's other Clinical & Longevity sessions on emotional resilience, functional movement, and aerobic conditioning. Texas licensees can stack it on top of the Board-required Ethics and Documentation & Risk block; licensees elsewhere can apply it toward their state's live-format portion. Sleep and Longevity: Circadian Rhythm, Nocturnal Oxygen & Cognitive Resilience — Frequently Asked Questions

What does this sleep and longevity webinar cover?

The physiology of sleep as a longevity system: the sleep cycle, brain waves, and timing; chronotypes — night owl, morning lark, or third bird — and circadian regulation and dysregulation; nocturnal desaturation, the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve, pulse oximetry, sleep apnea, and neuroinflammation; how daytime health drives nighttime recovery, cardiometabolic risk, and inflammation; thoracoabdominal synchrony, cervical hypolordosis, and chest expansion as chiropractic levers on breathing during sleep; the cortisol rhythm, blood sugar, the default mode network, and cognitive resilience; light and auditory frequencies, blue screens, and pre-sleep routines; and evidence-informed sleep hygiene, HRV, and health-app strategies for chiropractic wellness and longevity care. Also known as sleep and longevity CE for chiropractors, circadian rhythm webinar, sleep apnea and chiropractic course, and sleep hygiene CE.

When is the webinar, and what is the format?

Thursday, December 10, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Central Time — a live, interactive webinar with Dr. Michael Hall and real-time Q&A. Attendance is verified during the session, a brief assessment follows, and your certificate is available in your account immediately upon completion. Register with the Add to Cart button and your access details are sent to your account email before the event.

What does sleep apnea and nighttime oxygen have to do with chiropractic care?

More than most patients realize. Breathing during sleep depends on the mechanics of the chest and neck — thoracoabdominal synchrony, cervical lordosis, and chest expansion — and nocturnal oxygen desaturation is where cardiometabolic risk and neuroinflammation quietly accumulate. Dr. Hall walks through the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve and what a pulse oximeter is actually telling you, the signs of sleep apnea a chiropractor is positioned to notice, and how structural care, breathing mechanics, and sleep hygiene fit together in a wellness and longevity plan — including when to refer for a sleep study.

What if I register but cannot attend live?

Live-format credit requires live attendance, because that is what state boards mandate for these hours. If you cannot attend on December 10, check the live webinar calendar for the next available session, and CCEDseminars support can move your registration to a later date. Contact us before the event if your plans change.

How do certificates and reporting work?

Each completion generates an instant certificate with a permanent copy in your account dashboard. CCEDseminars is PACE Provider #34015544, co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College, reports directly to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and handles CE Broker reporting automatically for states served — so your live hours are on record without extra paperwork. The complete approval list appears at the bottom of this page.

State Approval and Licensing Reminder

Continuing education requirements — including online-hour caps and live-hour minimums — vary by jurisdiction. Review the online chiropractic CE guidelines page and contact CCEDseminars with questions about your specific licensing requirements before registering.
