Spinal osteoarthritis is the most common thing you will see in an ageing spine and the easiest to write off as simply what old spines look like. Geriatrics 202 works the whole column — cervical, thoracic and lumbar — through the anatomy, physiology and development of degenerative change, so the diagnosis is specific to a level and a mechanism rather than a general impression of wear.
