A woman's nutritional needs change with every stage of her life — pregnancy, the reproductive years, perimenopause and beyond — and each stage brings its own hormone-balance questions to the chiropractic office. Nutrition 262 follows the female life cycle from the nutritional side: the impact of nutrition on women's health during pregnancy, hormone balance disruption, maintaining homeostasis, and the specific concerns, from PCOS to hormone-related cancer, that a chiropractor should be able to recognize and support.

Dr. Howard Benedikt takes the life cycle as the organizing frame: nutrition during pregnancy and the nutrients that matter most, the dietary and environmental factors that disrupt hormone balance, what it takes to maintain homeostasis across the reproductive years and into menopause, and the concerns that deserve specific attention — polycystic ovary syndrome, hormone-related cancer risk — so that female patients get nutritional guidance that fits the stage they are actually in rather than a generic plan.

Choose Your Nutrition Path — Three Lanes, One Curriculum

The Nutrition library — sixty-eight courses by Howard Benedikt, DC, DCBCN — organizes into three working lanes: the gut, the brain, and the conditions you already treat. Nutrition 201–210 is the foundation block, 211–220 the second, 221–230 the third, 231–240 the fourth, 241–250 the fifth, and 201–224 together form the 48-hour Clinical Nutrition Certification (CNC). Two hours each.

Where Nutrition CE Hours Count — State Rules Worth Knowing

Nutrition coursework is clinical subject matter — assessment, clinical reasoning and nutritional management of patient conditions — which is exactly what several state boards ask for. In Iowa, these hours serve the 36-hour clinical case-management minimum; in Rhode Island, they address the 50-of-60 clinical requirement; and in Vermont — where practice-building coursework earns nothing — patient-care education like this counts fully under the clinical-focus rule.

Online-format allowances still vary by state — some accept every hour online, others cap distance learning or require in-person blocks. Check your state’s guide in the full state directory before building your renewal plan.

Build Your Nutrition Block — or Take the Credential

Every course in the Nutrition series runs 2 hours at $40, so the automatic discounts do the bundling for you: 6–9 hours in one order earns 10% off, and 10 or more earns 20% off — any ten courses from the series is 20 hours, which clears the 20% tier at roughly $320 instead of $400, with no promo codes. Women's Health and Nutrition pairs naturally with Nutrition 223 and Nutrition 224 on assessing hormones in clinical practice; the three together reach 6 hours and the 10% tier. Pursuing the credential? The Clinical Nutrition Certification (CNC) packages Nutrition 201–224 — 48 hours — in a single $960 checkout. Browse Nutrition Courses

Nutrition 262 — Frequently Asked Questions

What does Nutrition 262 cover?

Nutrition 262 covers women's health and nutrition across the life cycle for chiropractors: the impact of nutrition on women's health during pregnancy, hormone balance disruption, maintaining homeostasis, and specific concerns including PCOS and hormone-related cancer. Also known as the women's nutrition course, nutrition during pregnancy for chiropractors, or the female hormone balance course.

What does the course say about nutrition during pregnancy?

Which nutrients carry the most weight in pregnancy, where common diets fall short, and how a chiropractor supporting a pregnant patient can reinforce good nutrition without stepping outside scope. Pregnancy is treated as one stage in the life cycle the course follows from the reproductive years through menopause.

How does nutrition disrupt or restore hormone balance?

Diet, body composition, blood-sugar control and environmental exposures all shift estrogen, progesterone, insulin and thyroid signaling. The course maps the disruptors and the nutritional strategies that help restore homeostasis, with PCOS and hormone-related cancer risk as the concerns that need specific handling.

How is this different from Nutrition 223 and 224, Assessing Hormones in Clinical Practice?

Nutrition 223 and 224 are the hormone-testing courses — how to assess hormones and read the results. Nutrition 262 is organized around the female patient and her life cycle: pregnancy, hormone balance, homeostasis and the specific concerns of women's health. Take 223 and 224 for the assessment tools and 262 for the life-cycle nutrition plan.

How many CE hours is it, and where does it sit in the Nutrition series?

It is 2 PACE-approved CE hours. Nutrition 262 sits in the musculoskeletal, immune, hormonal and clinical-conditions lane of the Nutrition series with Dr. Howard Benedikt, alongside Nutrition 222 (Assessing Thyroid Health), 223 and 224 (Assessing Hormones in Clinical Practice) and 257 (Bone Health).

State Approval and Licensing Reminder

Continuing education requirements — including online-hour caps and clinical-hour minimums — vary by jurisdiction. Review the online chiropractic CE guidelines page and contact CCEDseminars with questions about your specific licensing requirements before registering.

Ready to Enroll in Nutrition 262?

Half the practice is female, and every one of them is at a different point in the life cycle. Two hours here give you the pregnancy, hormone-balance and homeostasis picture to meet each of them where she is.
