Hands trained on adult spines do not read an infant well, and the hesitation shows. Pediatrics 206 is about getting comfortable — the special pediatric considerations that change how you approach the table, palpation technique from skull to lumbar curve, and the fundamentals of infant development and reflex transitions that tell you whether what you are feeling is expected at that age or not. It closes with the practical question: how infants actually fit into a chiropractic clinic.
Two CE hours with Heather Bryce, DC, online and on demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Pediatrics 206: Pediatric Infant Palpation cover?
The special pediatric considerations, getting comfortable with infant patients, the skills to palpate infants successfully and comfortably, and the fundamentals of pediatric development. The outline runs through incorporating infants in a chiropractic clinic, palpation technique from skull to lumbar curve, and infant development and reflex transitions. Also known as infant palpation CE, pediatric palpation CE, and Pediatric Infant Palpation.
Is Pediatrics 206 PACE-approved and accepted in my state?
CCEDseminars is FCLB PACE Provider #34015544 and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College Post Graduate Studies Division. The per-state approvals for this course render at the bottom of this page, and the full list lives on the State/Region CEU Approvals page. Confirming your own board’s current requirements remains your responsibility as the licensee.
Why would a chiropractor examine my baby’s spine?
Palpation is examination, not treatment — it is how a clinician gathers information with their hands before deciding whether anything is indicated at all. This page is professional continuing education for licensed Doctors of Chiropractic: the course teaches how to palpate an infant comfortably from skull to lumbar curve and how to read those findings against normal infant development and reflex transitions, so what is felt is interpreted against what is expected at that age rather than against an adult baseline. If you are a parent with questions about your own child, raise them with your treating chiropractor.
How many CE hours does Pediatrics 206 award, and how is the certificate issued?
Two CE hours. The course is online and on demand, so it starts the moment you enroll. Completion is recorded electronically when you pass the post-course assessment, your certificate is issued immediately, and the completion is reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.
How is Pediatrics 206 different from Pediatrics 211: Pediatric Manual Therapy for Toddlers?
They sit next to each other in the hands-on cluster and divide by age band and by task. Pediatrics 206 is the infant, and it is assessment-first — palpation technique, comfort with the infant patient, and development and reflex transitions as the frame for what you feel. Pediatrics 211: Pediatric Manual Therapy for Toddlers picks up at the toddler and moves into manual therapy. Many doctors take both, and both sit inside the 24-hour CCP bundle.
Good to know: the course title in your account is your access link. After checkout, log in and open Pediatrics 206 from your course list — there is nothing to download and nothing expires. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout, so add every hour you need before you pay.
