Course Description: Athletes and non-athletes can experience upper extremity nerve entrapment conditions. This detailed class covers the anatomy and physiology of upper extremity nerve entrapments. The course contains consultation and examination procedures to correctly diagnosis an upper extremity nerve impingement. This two hour presentation contains techniques and strategies to heighten in-office treatment and improve patient education to enhance patient’s outcome in conditions that are not thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome.
Course Outline: 

  • Description of anatomy and physiology of the upper extremity nerve supply
  • Proper diagnosis of upper extremity nerve entrapment conditions with emphasis on nerve impingements conditions that are not thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, and cubital tunnel syndrome
  • In-office chiropractic treatment and rehabilitation strategies
  • Patient education tools for rehabilitation and return to activity

  • Develop a better understanding of anatomy and physiology of the upper extremity motor and sensory nerve supply
  • Enhance clinical knowledge to properly diagnosis an upper extremity nerve entrapment
  • Application of new tools in the treatment of upper extremity nerve impingement conditions
  • Develop professional skills to better educate patients in the prevention and recover of nerve entrapment conditions in the upper extremity
