This detailed course covers the anatomy of the upper extremity nervous system. Specifically, the axillary nerve, long thoracic nerve, spinal accessory nerve and suprascapular nerve anatomy is discussed. This comprehensive class teaches consultation, examination and imaging specifics to better diagnose and treat athletes. The presentation contains in-office treatment strategies and patient education tools.
Course Outline: 

  • Description of anatomy and physiology of specific upper extremity nerves
  • Discussion of conditions and mechanism of injury involving upper extremity nerve entrapments
  • Examine consultation, examination, diagnostic, in-office chiropractic treatment and rehabilitation strategies
  • Relate education techniques for rehabilitation and return to sport.
