Lower-extremity cases are judged by what the patient can do afterward, which makes the referral and return-to-activity decisions the ones that matter most. Evidence-Based Practice 207 takes the hip, knee, ankle and foot through the same collaborative framework used above the waist: what conservative management is reasonably expected to deliver, when injection or surgical consultation becomes the better option, and what a referral has to contain to be useful to the clinician receiving it.
From there the course covers the phase most often handled by default rather than by plan — management after an intra-articular injection or a surgical procedure, functional restoration measured against a stated activity or work goal, and the patient education and informed-consent conversations that determine whether the plan is actually followed.

Where Evidence-Based Practice Hours Count — State Rules Worth Knowing
Evidence-based practice coursework is clinical subject matter — evaluation, documentation, imaging, modes of care and collaborative management — which is exactly what several state boards ask for.
