A young athlete is not a small adult, and a protocol scaled down from an adult one is not a pediatric protocol. Pediatrics 205 builds the care plan from the pediatric end up: treatment protocols designed for pediatric athletes, clinical pearls that change what you do in the room, rehabilitation procedures a child will actually complete, and injury prevention programming you can put in place before the next season rather than after the next injury.

The course sharpens examination and clinical protocols for spinal injuries, introduces effective rehab protocols, and works through methods for injury prevention. Two CE hours with Tracy Wilson, DC, CLM, online and on demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Pediatrics 205: Chiropractic & The Young Athlete cover?

Treatment protocols tailored for pediatric athletes, clinical pearls for their treatment, pediatric-friendly rehabilitation procedures, and injury prevention programming. The course sharpens examination and clinical protocols for spinal injuries, introduces effective rehab protocols, and discusses methods for injury prevention. Also known as pediatric sports chiropractic CE, young athlete chiropractic CE, and Chiropractic & The Young Athlete.

Is Pediatrics 205 PACE-approved and accepted in my state?

CCEDseminars is FCLB PACE Provider #34015544 and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College Post Graduate Studies Division. The per-state approvals for this course render at the bottom of this page, and the full list lives on the State/Region CEU Approvals page. Confirming your own board’s current requirements remains your responsibility as the licensee.

Should my child see a chiropractor for a sports injury?

That is a decision for a licensed clinician who has examined the child, and an injury with red-flag features needs evaluation before any treatment begins. This page is professional continuing education for Doctors of Chiropractic: the course teaches examination and clinical protocols for spinal injuries in young athletes, pediatric-friendly rehabilitation, and injury prevention programming, so the plan is built for a growing body rather than scaled down from an adult one. If you are a parent with questions about your own child, raise them with your treating chiropractor.

How many CE hours does Pediatrics 205 award, and how is the certificate issued?

Two CE hours. The course is online and on demand, so it starts the moment you enroll. Completion is recorded electronically when you pass the post-course assessment, your certificate is issued immediately, and the completion is reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.

How is Pediatrics 205 different from Pediatrics 212: Sports and the Younger Athlete?

The two make up the Young Athlete cluster and come at it from different ends. Pediatrics 205 is protocol-first — treatment protocols tailored for pediatric athletes, pediatric-friendly rehabilitation, and injury prevention programming you can put in place. Pediatrics 212: Sports and the Younger Athlete approaches the younger athlete from the sports side. Many doctors take both, and both sit inside the 24-hour CCP bundle.

Good to know: the course title in your account is your access link. After checkout, log in and open Pediatrics 205 from your course list — there is nothing to download and nothing expires. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout, so add every hour you need before you pay.
