The landscape young athletes train in has shifted, and the preparticipation evaluation is where a chiropractor either catches what matters or waves it through. Pediatrics 212 takes the younger athlete from the sports side: how the training landscape has changed, the preparticipation process — the evaluation protocol and the sport-specific expectations that shape it — and then the two outcomes every parent is actually asking about: injury prevention, and reducing both the incidence and the severity of concussion.
Taught by a chiropractic neurologist whose work centers on concussion management. Two CE hours with Michael Hall, DC, FIACN, online and on demand — the course that closes the Young Athlete cluster.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Pediatrics 212: Sports and the Younger Athlete cover?
The current landscape for training and athletic participation, developing an evaluation protocol, outlining injury prevention, and explaining concussion. The outline runs the young athlete and the training landscape, the preparticipation process (evaluation and sport-specific expectations), and preparing for success (injury prevention and concussion reduction/severity). Also known as preparticipation evaluation CE, youth sports concussion CE, and Sports and the Younger Athlete.
Is Pediatrics 212 PACE-approved and accepted in my state?
CCEDseminars is FCLB PACE Provider #34015544 and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College Post Graduate Studies Division. The per-state approvals for this course render at the bottom of this page, and the full list lives on the State/Region CEU Approvals page. Confirming your own board’s current requirements remains your responsibility as the licensee.
Can a chiropractor do my child’s sports physical?
It depends on your state. Whether a Doctor of Chiropractic may perform and sign a preparticipation physical evaluation for school or league sports is set by state law and by the school district or athletic association, and it varies widely. What this course teaches is the preparticipation process itself — the evaluation protocol and sport-specific expectations — so that a chiropractor who does perform them, or who co-manages young athletes alongside the provider who does, works from a sound protocol. This page is professional continuing education for Doctors of Chiropractic; if you are a parent, check your state’s and school’s requirements and ask your child’s providers.
How many CE hours does Pediatrics 212 award, and how is the certificate issued?
Two CE hours. The course is online and on demand, so it starts the moment you enroll. Completion is recorded electronically when you pass the post-course assessment, your certificate is issued immediately, and the completion is reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.
How is Pediatrics 212 different from Pediatrics 205: Chiropractic & The Young Athlete?
They make up the Young Athlete cluster and come at it from different ends. Pediatrics 205: Chiropractic & The Young Athlete is protocol-first — treatment protocols tailored for pediatric athletes, pediatric-friendly rehabilitation, and injury prevention programming. Pediatrics 212 comes at the younger athlete from the sports side: the preparticipation evaluation, sport-specific expectations, and concussion reduction and severity, taught by a chiropractic neurologist. Many doctors take both, and both sit inside the 24-hour CCP bundle.
Good to know: the course title in your account is your access link. After checkout, log in and open Pediatrics 212 from your course list — there is nothing to download and nothing expires. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout, so add every hour you need before you pay.
