Stress leaves measurable tracks in the body, and a family wellness practice that can read them has something most practices do not. Pediatrics 209 works through the two objective tools that make stress visible on paper — heart rate variability as a window on autonomic balance, and surface EMG as a read on resting paraspinal activity — then grounds them in clinical case studies and in the adjustments a doctor uses to manage the physiological changes those measurements reveal.

The middle course of the Pregnancy & Family Practice cluster. Two CE hours with Tracy Wilson, DC, CLM, online and on demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Pediatrics 209: Stress and the Family Wellness Practice cover?

Clinical case studies, investigation of heart rate variability, surface EMG (SEMG) applications, and adjustments to manage physiological changes. The outline runs through clinical case studies, application of heart rate variability, SEMG applications, and physiological adjustments. Also known as HRV chiropractic CE, SEMG chiropractic CE, and Stress and the Family Wellness Practice.

Is Pediatrics 209 PACE-approved and accepted in my state?

CCEDseminars is FCLB PACE Provider #34015544 and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College Post Graduate Studies Division. The per-state approvals for this course render at the bottom of this page, and the full list lives on the State/Region CEU Approvals page. Confirming your own board’s current requirements remains your responsibility as the licensee.

Can a chiropractor measure how stress is affecting my body?

Two objective tools are in common clinical use for that: heart rate variability (HRV), which reflects autonomic nervous system balance, and surface electromyography (SEMG), which reads resting muscle activity along the spine. Both are measurements, not treatments — they give the clinician a baseline and a way to track change over time. This page is professional continuing education for licensed Doctors of Chiropractic, and the course teaches how these measurements are applied and interpreted in a family wellness practice. If you have questions about your own care, raise them with your treating chiropractor.

How many CE hours does Pediatrics 209 award, and how is the certificate issued?

Two CE hours. The course is online and on demand, so it starts the moment you enroll. Completion is recorded electronically when you pass the post-course assessment, your certificate is issued immediately, and the completion is reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.

Which CCED pediatrics courses pair well with Pediatrics 209?

Pediatrics 209 sits in the middle of the Pregnancy & Family Practice cluster. Pediatrics 207: Pregnancy & Chiropractic (Part I) opens it and Pediatrics 210: Pediatric Infant Nutrition completes it — one arc from pregnancy through the first years of family practice. Doctors building a family-practice emphasis commonly take the cluster together, and all three sit inside the 24-hour CCP bundle.

Good to know: the course title in your account is your access link. After checkout, log in and open Pediatrics 209 from your course list — there is nothing to download and nothing expires. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout, so add every hour you need before you pay.
