A child limps into the office. Pelvis unlevel, gait off, a leg that measures short — and underneath it, a maturational lag nobody has named yet. Pediatrics 213 is built the way the case actually unfolds: history first, then observation and examination, then the moment when things just don’t add up. From there it opens the condition itself — toxic synovitis, rare or common, its pathophysiology, current management and what the chiropractic considerations are — and closes with a research review of the differential diagnoses, clinical outcomes and prognosis that frame every decision you make with that child.
A stand-alone pediatric case course taught by a chiropractic neurologist. Two CE hours with Michael Hall, DC, FIACN, online and on demand.

Credit, Reporting & State Rules
How your 2 hours are recorded
Completion is recorded electronically by the CCEDseminars learning platform at the moment you pass the post-course assessment. Your certificate is issued immediately and stays available in your account. Completions are reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.
Online-hour caps and category limits
Several boards cap how many of your renewal hours may be earned online, and some restrict specific content categories. Those caps are set by your board, not by CCEDseminars. Check the State/Region CEU Approvals page before you build a renewal cycle around online hours.
PACE and TCC co-sponsorship

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Pediatrics 213: Toxic Synovitis cover?
Built around a pediatric case: the patient’s history, observations and examination, and recognizing when things don’t add up; toxic synovitis — rare or common, its pathophysiology, current management and chiropractic considerations; maturational lag; and a research review of differential diagnoses, clinical outcomes and prognosis in the pediatric population. Also known as transient synovitis of the hip, transient synovitis CE, and Toxic Synovitis.
Is Pediatrics 213 PACE-approved and accepted in my state?
CCEDseminars is FCLB PACE Provider #34015544 and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College Post Graduate Studies Division. The per-state approvals for this course render at the bottom of this page, and the full list lives on the State/Region CEU Approvals page. Confirming your own board’s current requirements remains your responsibility as the licensee.
My child is limping but doesn’t seem to be in much pain. What could it be?
A limp with little pain is a classic presentation of toxic synovitis, also called transient synovitis of the hip — a common, self-limiting inflammation of the hip joint in young children. But it is a diagnosis of exclusion: a limping child needs prompt evaluation by a clinician, because the less common causes of a childhood limp have to be ruled out first and some of them are time-sensitive. This page is professional continuing education for Doctors of Chiropractic; the course walks through the history, examination and differential thinking that distinguish the benign case from the one that needs referral. If you are a parent, have a limping child seen promptly rather than waiting to see if it resolves.
How many CE hours does Pediatrics 213 award, and how is the certificate issued?
Two CE hours. The course is online and on demand, so it starts the moment you enroll. Completion is recorded electronically when you pass the post-course assessment, your certificate is issued immediately, and the completion is reported to CE Broker for the states CCEDseminars serves.
Is Pediatrics 213 part of the CCP certification bundle?
No. The 24-hour CCP certification bundle is Pediatrics 201 through 212. Pediatrics 213 and 214 sit outside it as stand-alone pediatric courses, and 213 does not count toward CCP certification. It does count toward your automatic bundle discount at checkout, and it pairs naturally with Dr. Hall’s Pediatrics 212: Sports and the Younger Athlete for doctors building a pediatric case-reasoning emphasis.
Good to know: the course title in your account is your access link. After checkout, log in and open Pediatrics 213 from your course list — there is nothing to download and nothing expires. Bundle discounts apply automatically at checkout, so add every hour you need before you pay.
