Physical therapy CE built for the chiropractic adjustment, not around it. Every course in this category was recorded by a practicing DC for practicing DCs: the modality courses teach laser, TENS and ultrasound as adjuncts that prepare tissue for the adjustment and extend its effect, and the rehabilitation courses teach the exercise progressions that hold a correction between visits.

Five courses, two lanes, eight CE hours. Start with the free TENS course if you want to see the teaching style before you spend a dollar, or go straight to the regional rehabilitation pair if your patients are already on the table with low-back and lower-extremity complaints.

Choose Your Physical Therapy Path — Two Lanes, One Curriculum

Lane 1 — Modalities (201–203) · 4 CE hours

Passive modalities a chiropractor can run in-office: how each one works, when it is indicated, when it is not, and how to document it.

Lane 2 — Regional Rehabilitation (204–205) · 4 CE hours

Region-by-region exercise prescription from a sports-medicine diplomate: assessment, progression, and the home program that keeps the adjustment holding.

What You'll Learn

  • Select the right modality — laser, TENS or ultrasound — by tissue type, stage of healing, and contraindication, and document the parameters you used.
  • Pair passive modalities with the adjustment so they prepare tissue before and reinforce the correction after.
  • Build progressive exercise programs for the lumbar spine, hip, pelvis and lower extremity that a patient will actually perform at home.
  • Match each intervention to a functional goal and an outcome measure your notes can defend.

Where Physical Therapy Hours Count — State Rules Worth Knowing

These courses are PACE-recognized and co-sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College, which is the approval pathway most boards accept for on-demand chiropractic CE. The approval list for each course renders at the bottom of its page, straight from the record, so that list is the one to trust.

Two rules trip people up. First, most boards cap the share of a renewal that can be earned online, and a few cap hours by subject, so an 8-hour physical therapy block may need to sit beside in-person or other-category hours. Second, whether you may bill a modality is a scope-of-practice question your own board answers; these courses teach the clinical use, not the billing rules of any one state.

Texas: licensees can verify provider status through the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. For every other state and province, start at the CE guidelines directory.

Build Your Physical Therapy Block

Start free. Physical Therapy 202: TENS for Pain Management is 1 CE hour at no charge — take it, see how the courses are taught, and keep the hour.

Then build the block. All five courses together are 8 CE hours for $140 at list. The cart applies a 10% discount automatically once you reach 6 hours, so the full series lands at $126 — no promo code. Add 2 or more hours from Adjusting & Manual Therapy or Rehabilitation and the discount steps up to 20% on everything in the cart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these physical therapy courses meant for chiropractors, or for physical therapists?

Chiropractors. Every course is taught by a DC, approved through the chiropractic CE pathway (PACE and Texas Chiropractic College co-sponsorship), and written around how a modality or exercise program fits with the adjustment. Also known as physiotherapy, physiotherapeutics, therapeutic modalities or rehab CE, depending on the state board.

Which course should I start with?

Physical Therapy 202: TENS for Pain Management. It is free, it is one hour, and it shows you the teaching style before you buy anything. If your practice already runs modalities, go straight to 204 and 205 for the rehabilitation lane.

Can I actually use laser, TENS or ultrasound in a chiropractic practice?

In most states, yes, and in some the board requires documented training before you do — which is one reason these courses exist. Scope of practice and billing rules are set state by state, so confirm with your own board. The courses teach indications, contraindications, parameters and documentation; they do not replace your state's scope rules.

How are the courses delivered, and when do I get my certificate?

Each course is recorded video you can watch on any device, with one year of access from purchase. Pass the short post-test and your certificate is available immediately. For states served by CE Broker, completion is reported automatically.

Do these hours count toward my state's renewal?

For most states and several provinces, yes; each course page lists its approvals at the bottom, pulled directly from the course record. Boards cap online hours differently, so check your state's rule in the CE guidelines directory before you build a full renewal out of on-demand courses.

State approval and licensing reminder. Approval status is listed on each course page. Online-hour caps, subject caps and modality scope vary by board; confirm your own state's rules before relying on this category for a full renewal. CCEDseminars does not report to CE Broker in states where it is not operative.
