Why New Brunswick Chiropractors Choose CCEDseminars

  • Online-first convenience: Learn at home, in the office, or on the go—on Mac, PC, or smart device.
  • Clean documentation: Clear certificates and course details you can store in one folder.
  • Trusted sponsorship: Many courses are sponsored by Texas Chiropractic College (CCE accredited).
  • Bundle strategy: Build a streamlined plan so you finish credits without scrambling near the deadline.

Mandatory Requirements (Expand to Review)

CE Credits: 24 Recognized Credits per Two-Year Period

NBCA by-laws state active members must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of recognized continuing education seminars in each two-year period. The two-year period begins on November 1 in each odd-numbered year.

Best practice: Aim for steady progress (for example, 12 credits per year) so you’re not rushing near the deadline.

Deadline: October 31 (End of Business Day)

NBCA by-laws state the deadline to comply is the end of the business day on October 31 of the two-year period. If you’re in the 2025–2027 cycle, that means you should plan to finish well before October 31, 2027.

How to Prove Compliance (Documentation NBCA Accepts)

NBCA by-laws describe proving compliance by submitting written confirmation from sponsors of each approved/recognized seminar that includes the date, duration, and subject matter, and confirms attendance.

  • Keep every certificate in one “NBCA CE” folder (digital is easiest).
  • Keep course outlines/learning objectives for quick verification if asked.
  • If you’re short, use a bundle plan and finish strategically (record keeping, ethics, documentation, radiology refreshers).
First Aid & CPR (Annual Renewal Requirement)

NBCA by-laws require practising members to maintain Standard First Aid and CPR and provide proof upon each annual renewal. Accepted providers include Canadian Red Cross and St. John Ambulance (or an equivalent provider acceptable to the Board).

Important: Treat First Aid/CPR as a separate renewal requirement from your 24 CE credits unless NBCA guidance explicitly states otherwise.

Record Keeping Course (Every 5 Years)

NBCA by-laws require active members to complete a record keeping course at minimum every 5 years. New registrants must complete a valid record keeping course within the first 6 months of registration.

NBCA Mandatory Module: Prevention of Sexual Abuse & Member Responsibilities

NBCA lists mandatory courses in its members portal, including Prevention of Sexual Abuse and Member Responsibilities. Many chiropractors complete this through the NBCA portal to ensure they meet local expectations for professional boundaries and responsibilities.

Tip: Save the completion confirmation (or certificate) in the same folder as your CE documentation.

Avoid the “NB Template Trap” (Common Mistakes)

  • Wrong province mix-ups: Make sure your plan is for New Brunswick (NB)—not New Jersey or Nova Scotia.
  • Wrong deadline: NBCA’s two-year cycle compliance deadline is October 31 (not a generic “December 31”).
  • CPR confusion: First Aid/CPR is a renewal item—do not assume it satisfies CE credits unless NBCA confirms.
