Cycle 8 runs July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026. Reporting is typically completed with the following renewal cycle (commonly with your 2027 renewal for Cycle 8).
A common compliance plan is minimum 20 structured and up to 20 unstructured; you may complete all 40 hours as structured activities.
CCO requires five mandatory structured hours focused on diagnostic or therapeutic procedures related to controlled acts in the chiropractic scope of practice. Choose clinical topics that clearly match this intent and keep proof of completion.
Maintain an Emergency First Aid/CPR certificate (minimum CPR Level C + AED). Treat it as a renewal requirement and do not assume it counts toward CE hours unless the CCO specifically permits it.
Members must attend a CCO Virtual or In-Person REW at least once every three CE cycles (six years). Plan it early to avoid deadline pressure.
CCO introduced a five-hour structured activity requirement focused on an in-person hands-on or hand-held instrument adjustment/manipulation activity once every three CE cycles (six years). Online learning is still valuable, but this component must be in-person.
Log CE hours in the CCO member portal as you complete them. Keeping your log current makes renewal faster and reduces audit risk.
Some CCO renewal communications note exemptions for members who became registered after July 1, 2024 for Cycle 8. Confirm your status inside the member portal during renewal.
Online learning can be a strong fit—especially when it is verifiable (structured) and you retain completion documentation. Keep records in case of review.
